"Soup For Seniors" by L.O.A.
This year in Roanoke and the surrounding areas there are 3000 senior citizens who need help with simple meals, especially during the cold months. League of Older Americans will be collecting soups, crackers & non-perishable items over the next week. We would like to have all donations collected by Friday, January 27th, however no donations after that will be turned away. Please encourage your family, co-workers, church, youth group, etc. to donate. A simple canned good can go a long way and make a huge differnce for someone in need. Once items have been collected they can be dropped off at New Covenant Christian Church on Cove Rd in Roanoke, any Bank of America branch, or you can contact Straight Street at 342-4971 and we can arrange a pick up time for you.
For questions or more information please call 342-4971 xt 230.
The online giving option is now working.
At Straight Street, we are thankful for our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ and the hope and healing found in a relationship with Him.
We are also thankful for the teens, families, churches, schools, law enforcement and others that work with the ministry. Straight Street is also so very thankful for the army of volunteers that serve and sacrifice, you are a blessing to generations.

STRAIGHT STREET
fun . faith . help . hope
Straight Street is a place where a teenager can hang out, meet friends and find someone to help them with their problems. Straight Street is more than a youth center, it is a safe place for youth to get help for them and their family.
Straight Street offers several different ministries such as:
- A drop in center for middle school and high school youth on Saturday nights (volunteers needed to hang out with the teens and to serve in the diner)
- Teen MOPS (working with young single moms)
- Starting Point (prison aftercare ministry)
- Prison Fellowship Mentoring(mentoring a child who has a parent that is incarcerated)
* Family/Ladies/Singles Ministry
